fish trap

I bought this item from Bekenu for $36 in 2004 when I was home in Miri for holidays. I like its shape. It is made completely of natural materials. I can imagine the amount of work put in by a native, slicing the bamboo pieces, tying them piece by piece with rattan strips. The top cover is a piece of coconut shell.

I decided that it is too valuable to use it as a fish trap.
