Manuka Honey

Tourists from China often asked me where they can buy Manuka honey. My standard answer is always: the duty free shop at the airport. That is the best place to buy. UMF grades are 5+, 10+, 20+ and any where in between.

Be aware that there is no way to measure the UMF concentration. Hence a lot of fakes out there, especially at the local farmer's markets. The honey however is genuine; but the labelling may be fake. It allows the seller to increase the price of normal honey by 50% or even more...
